The Asset Officer Trainee will assist across the Asset Management department of Narrabri Shire Council. The position will assist with business processes from the planning and organising of projects to the development and continual refining of asset management data.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring asset data from projects are captured and stored within the Assets Register
  • Assist in operating and maintaining Council's asset register through the Asset Management Information System
  • Assist in collating, analysing, validating, and importing data from different asset classes
  • Ensure weekly communication with the Manager Projects and Assets and Assets Engineer to make sure assets are managed in accordance with Council's systems and policies
